Day 2 is here if you missed it.
Today is a food and drink round. Yum!
- Which Christmas vegetable does the UK produce approximately 80,000 tonnes of per year?
2. Which alcohol is traditionally included in Christmas pudding?
3. Which fruit sauce traditionally accompanies the turkey?
4. Which Christmas dish did 18th century Quakers say was, “An invention of the scarlet whore of Babylon?” [Jeez, it’s not *that* bad]
5. For good luck, which food should you eat on each of the 12 days of Christmas?
a) Brussel sprouts
b) Stollen
c) Mince pies
1. Brussels sprouts. Ew.
2. Brandy!!
3. Cranberry. Dog knows why, it doesn’t go with it all.
4. Mince pie?
5. b)

4 is Christmas pudding (they must have had a *really* bad one…) and 5 is mince pies. And you’re totally right about cranberry sauce.

Okay, I’ll take a stab at it, although I’ve not lived in the UK very long, but ….
1) sprouts (yum)
2) brandy
3) cranberry
4) pudding?
5) it entirely depends on whether you want to end the season fat as a barrel or not …I’d choose sprouts, but I’m a thrawn one….

4/5, very good for a non-native! I would go for sprouts too, but the answer is mince pies. I am not a fan of mince pies.
